Antique Austro-Hungarian Silver Chalcedony Figural Ring c.1910 Girandole stacks effortlessly with antique bandsThere is something wonderfully mysterious about this ring, as though it once belonged to a woman who boarded trains alone beneath clouds of steam and carried letters tied with ribbon in the bottom of a leather valise. The pale blue grey chalcedony glows like moonlight through fog on the Danube, cool and soft and dreamlike against the richly sculpted silver mounting. Around the stone, the silver seems almost alive, flowing and organic, shaped into
