The dark green foliage turns to its brilliant red fall color early for an extended display. Grows best in full sun to partial shade with well drained, slightly acidic to neutral soils. Adequate moisture is important, but it also shows a degree of drought tolerance once established. Fireflash has good mildew resistance.
